AFIZERE STAFF OF FCMLST, JOS DONATES SCIENCE EQUIPMENTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOL FOBUR, JOS EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF PLATEAU STATE.

In a remarkable show of support for science education, the Afizere staff of the College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, donated essential science equipment to Government Secondary School, Fobur, on Friday, November 1, 2024. 

The group, led by Chairman Mls. Moses Abok, aimed to inspire students to pursue science-based subjects and to encourage their commitment to academic excellence.

Speaking on behalf of the Afizere staff, Mls. Moses Abok emphasized the importance of the donation, expressing hopes that these resources would boost the students’ interest in science and deepen their understanding. “We want to see more of our young people pursuing science and taking their studies seriously,” he said.

In addition, Prince Bulus, a clinical psychologist, delivered a motivational talk encouraging students to persevere through the current challenges of life. “Keep pushing, no matter what life brings your way. The key is resilience and hard work,” he advised the students. 

Mls. Jacob Abok followed with a career guidance lecture, providing students insights on future educational and career pathways in science.

In a separate development, Chief Itse Joseph Ammah and Dr. Ajik Magaji awarded a scholarship totaling ₦106,000 to six outstanding science students. The scholarship will cover their second and third terms' school fees, recognizing their performance and potential demonstrated during the career guidance session.

The Principal of GSS Fobur, Mr. Azi Adamu, alongside his assistant, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Afizere staff for their generosity, highlighting the invaluable impact of the donations and scholarships on students’ futures. “We are truly grateful to the Afizere staff of FCMLST,Jos. May God continue to bless every member of this group,” Mr. Adamu remarked.

The school’s Head Boy concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation and praying for blessings upon all members of the Afizere staff of FCMLST,Jos.
